python-sip 4.12.1 breaks qt-enabled applications

python-sip 4.12.1-0ubuntu1: amd64

After a recent update, some qt-enabled applications will no longer run. Typical output:

Deprecating python-sip to 4.10.5-0ubuntu1 solves this problem.

I have the repository source listed in ~/sources.list but the update v4.6.2 does not appear in the listing nor is flagged for update.

Please advise.

This repository doesn't have 4.6.2 yet. 4.6.2 is only available in Natty main repository, see http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/pm/kdebase

why were all packages deleted from maverick?????? i've searched all over the web and can't find an answer! and so how can i now upgrade to kde 4.6 on ubuntu 10.10??? i'm so confused. please please help.
