I have been using this ppa successfully and have experienced only minor issues with any build for months now. Since September 4, 2011 it seems not be updating though. I wonder what is wrong?

Same here. It looks like September 4th was the last update available (as of today). I hope it returns.

Google has change the linux builds directory and now the ppa package seems not be updated.

So looks like 3 posts about no more daily updates. Anyone looking at this?

Apparently the previous chromium PPA maintainer stepped down - http://askubuntu.com/questions/62472/why-doesnt-chromium-get-quicker-updates , http://askubuntu.com/questions/62472/why-doesnt-chromium-get-quicker-updates . Further chromium moved where it builds were hosted on Google which caused additional kerfuffle. http://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/group/chromium-discuss/browse_thread/thread/aff960e1aeea932f/46e8122120534fa9#46e8122120534fa9 . The transition has left something of a gap but it does suggest that perhaps the only people with the manpower to keep up with Chromium releases are Google themselves (Google's Ubuntu repos are on http://www.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel )...
