It doesn't work for me. I added the repository and tried to install one of the packages. I got the following error.
sudo apt-get install linux-lts-backport-natty

E: Couldn't find package linux-lts-backport-natty
@mystilleef, I think you need to install a specific kernel image package such as linux-image-2.6.37-2-generic, not linux-lts-backport-natty, which is a just virtual package.
Added repo, but still "no installation candidate" for linux-headers-2.6.37-11
here is not truth - no 2.6.39 in kernel ppa, only xorg-edgers has such one.
The PPA is total empty. What happened?
The PPA is EMPTY! Please, people do something. I need this update as i need water, 'cos there is a something wrong with a little feature called shutdown in the 2.6.38 kernel, and compiling a kernel myself usually leads to destroying the video driver...
I think there is a problem, no package with 2.6.38 found on this PPA ! Is there something wrong ? Will it be back again ?
Hey guys , where are the packages? It would be beneficial to all of us, if you could at least explain what is happening, because all the references point to this very PPA. Please correct if it is not intentional.
This PPA is dead, but i find this:
ppa:canonical-kernel-team/ppa
It's work!
Try:
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-3.0.0-8 linux-headers-2.6.39-0-generic linux-image-2.6.39-1-generic --fix-missing
Sorry, obviously it should be:
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-3.0.0-8 linux-headers-3.0.0-8-generic linux-image-3.0.0-8-generic --fix-missing
