    Fix FTBFS on i386 when building with -Wl,as-needed
    and stack protection enabled.
    (Ubuntu: instead of disabling stack protection)

  * Update d/patches/endianness.patch:
    Enable building on s390x and arm64.
    Closes: #739186.
